Ilya Hoffman 


Mr. Hoffman is a Managing Partner of VDI Group. 

As investor, advisor and board member Mr. Hoffman is active in Consumer Goods, Retail, Technology, Finance and Real Estate industries. 


An academic researcher in the past, Mr. Hoffman has authored a number of publications on Discrete mathematics and Combinatorial geometry. He holds an Erdos number of 2.


An active philanthropist, Mr. Hoffman has been awarded several international prizes, including Sir Georg Solti foundation award for his input in the international cultural dialogue. 


Mr. Hoffman was educated at Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia) and served as guest professor at The Banff Centre (Alberta, Canada).

He is fluent in Russian and English.


Askar Ramazanov

Mr. Ramazanov is a Partner of VDI Group.


He leads the Group’s practice of brand strategy and place branding. His team uses innovative research and development methods, storytelling and archetypal mapping to create brands and concepts that resonate with consumers at a deep emotional level.

Previously he was co-founder and CEO of Theory & Practice, a pioneer in EdTech in Russia. Before then he worked in the Netherlands and USA, covering design, branding and leading transformational projects in retail and public spaces worldwide. He is also a co-creator of several unique venue concepts in Russia, such as DI Telegraph, Chekhov APi, CDG Commune, Peredelkino, Romanov Dvor.

He is fluent in Russian and English.

Peter Pokhvalin


Mr. Pokhvalin is a Partner of VDI Group. 


His professional focus is Consumer Goods, Retail, Finance, Internet and Technology. 

Earlier in his career Mr. Pokhvalin was CEO of an international trade operator based in China, held management positions at L'Oreal and Cisco in Russia and the Netherlands, and managed an investment firm in the United States.​ He is also actively involved in non-profit initiatives in the fields of public health and education in Russia and USA.  ​

He graduated from Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO University) and completed an Executive Education program at Cisco Academy (Amsterdam, Netherlands).


He speaks Russian, English and French.


Mikhail Kozlov 

Mr. Kozlov is a Partner of VDI Group. 

His professional focus is Strategy, Analytics and Finance.

Earlier in his career Mr. Kozlov worked in Management Consulting at McKinsey & Co. and Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy, leading consulting and research projects in Russia & CIS countries.

He also founded “Young Managers”, a non-profit organization bridging the gap between higher education in Russia and modern business demands.

Mr. Kozlov graduated from Plekhanov Academy and Synergy Business school (Moscow, Russia).

He is fluent in Russian and English.
